The result is a juicy Syrah with vibrant red fruits and red cherries at the core of the palate. There’s also a nice amount of savoury tannins in there too. Lovely.

Teroldego has a lot of loyal fans who are going to love this Heathcote rendition. Fermented in stainless to keep things clean and pure, there are generous red fruits flavours, a divine dried currant edginess, and just a note of that trademark alpine spice. ‘Ndom is Trentino dialect for ‘let’s go’, so cheers!

2023 presented challenges but yielded enough fruit with some classic acidity and deep ripeness. Grapes were fermented for 12 months in oak, with a portion of that being new.

Paramoor Syrah 2023

Aromatics, subtle fruit notes and texture. We love it when drinks ooze a vibe, this tastes like footpath dining with friends at 5pm. That means it’s full of melon, subtle strawberry and a salty, creamy finesse. There’s also just enough grip to let everything linger.

Bistro Rosé 2024

Texture and a subtle orange glow thanks to just a moment on skins and a partial ferment in amphora. Crack it open when you want flavours that hit clean and luscious; like lemon curd, rockmelon and honeysuckle.

Eck Wines Number 2 Marsanne 2024

A delicious blend of Fiano that saw four days on skins and whole bunch-pressed Pecorino has resulted in what can only be described as golden hour in a bottle. In the glass, expect floral jasmine and acacia alongside golden orchard fruits, touches of ripe pear and a luscious texture. A perfect match with prosciutto-wrapped melon, spicy Southeast Asian dishes or just a friend at sunset.

Well here that is, flowing with nothing more than delicate spices and savouriness that are outshined but that little ball of tannin and white pepper that we love in this Grenache. Grown on bush vines, and raised in seasoned oak for 8 months, great winemaking and farming allows this wine to just feel… right.

All melody, no naïvety. This is the latest in our series on place and focuses on a darling region, Heathcote. This has everything we love because home is where we want to be, so there’s mulberry, peonies, compote spice and liqueured forest berries delivered glass after glass. There’s no need to speak in tongues, this is approachable and for everyone at the table.

This Must Be The Place Heathcote Shiraz 2023

Crimson and clover (earthy) wine. Right down to the sandy tannins, sandalwood and cooling herb vibes. Yes, there’s still red fruits – rosehip, red currant, cherry skins – and it’s very beautiful.

Chalmers Dott Nebbiolo 2022

Aromatics are pure, with heaps of tobacco leaf and some ripe cherry, black currant and just a nib of cacao. Goes very well with a light-to-heavy pullover.

Osicka Selection Colbinabbin ( Blue Label ) Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Fluffy and softly red fruited with foamy, but still crunchy, red apples and just a little berry goodness, there’s some nice complexity here. It’s kept on lees to this day, so get ready for a lick of herby perfection. Shines at a house party and is radiant in the park.

Chalmers Col Fondo Sparkling Rosato 2021

This carefully handcrafted wine boasts purity in spades and is overflowing with character and charm. Fruit for this wine came from a unique vineyard overlooking the Goulburn River, sitting on rich alluvial soils in an area that’s home to many retired volcanoes—Dane has told us more than once that the quality of fruit from this spot is incredible! The Syrah is a blend of two separate ferments, which both underwent semi-carbonic maceration with 10 days on skins. In the glass, expect bright and lifted fruit flavours, with intermingling notes of bramble berries, boysenberry, and raspberry coulis. There’s a fresh acidity and energy to the wine that make it perfect for summertime drinking. It’s fantastic as is, but if we were you, we’d chuck this one on ice before drinking.
